Spring 2021
Year 2 have made an excellent start to the Spring Term and have been exploring how things have changed through time. We have been learning about toys in particular and why they have changed. The children have enjoyed comparing and contrasting their lives to the lives of children from 20, 70 and 100 years ago. We have also been learning about plants and have been busy growing cress, potatoes, spring onions and radishes! We will be sure to let you know how they taste once they are fully grown!
In Maths the children have been developing their knowledge of different aspects of measurement and also how to solve word problems. In English we have focused on Traction Man and The Magic Finger. We have been learning how to predict, inference and summarise â make sure you ask your child about this at home!
