Welcome to St Mary’s Primary School
We are so proud of Amelia who today did a presentation to her class, with the help of Hannah from SALT, about her stammer. She helped the class understand how she feels about it and how we can all help. Well done!
St Mary's School - yet again you have shown yourselves to be a small school with a big heart! (If you haven't donated yet, it's not too late to do so.) Well done, all of you!
Year 3 exploring colour and mixed media in their Spring themed art work.
Thank you to Caring Cooks who spent the morning with Year 4 making mini bean burgers, We focused on exploring sources of protein in vegetarian dishes alongside many cooking skills and food hygiene.
What a fabulous morning! Year 3 went out on a nature walk as part of their English topic. We were amazed by how many different types of daffodils we saw. We collected some different bits and took photos to record what we found. We spotted lots of birds including a family of buzzards but our favourite part was when we spotted 2 squirrels chasing each other around the trees. All the children were ready, respectful and safe throughout!
Congratulations to our De Putron Challenge team - who won the event! Amazing job, everyone: an excellent team, and amazing supporters - respectful of others, but also excellent at cheering on our team. We are all very proud of you!
There will be no Year 6 Maths Club tomorrow (Monday) after school as Mrs Smith is attending training. Please could Year 6 parents share this. Thank you
Today Year 3 performed their retelling of 'Ours brun, dis-moi' to Year 1. They have worked so hard on their French this half term and we are grateful to Madame Surcouf for all her support.

World Book Day was just lovely! The children talked so warmly and so well about their favourite characters! Well done parents supporting them with their fantastic costumes. This is just a few costumes I managed to snap around the school!
